We frequently purchase Toshiba laptops for our company. All of them come with Vista Business licenses. We didn’t have a problem till now since we formatted them and installed XP on each one to keep up with company standards. Now that we are planning on upgrading, it seems odd that non of them included a vista CD but instead came along with a Windows XP professional disk. Can i download the OS from someplace since i already have the licenses?
Two laptops, cable internet, both running XP with wireless cards. The modem is connected to the first laptop. Does there have to be a router or will the wireless card itself broadcast after setting up a computer network?
without using a cable or LAN cable.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Laptop Computer. It’s tough, thin, and light. In fact, at only 3.16 pounds, you won’t find a more impressive combination of power and portability. Style-wise, the Lenovo ThinkPad X301 is closer to the size of an actual paper notebook than a ThinkPad notebook has ever been. With its extremely thin (0.73″) design highlighted by a brilliant new 13.3-inch WXGA+ display with backlit LED panel, the ThinkPad X301 is the ultimate Lenovo laptop computer. And it offers numerous design flourishes including an integrated camera and digital microphone, a full-size ergonomic keyboard, ThinkLight®, Trackpoint®, UltraNav®, Integrated Fingerprint Reader, and stereo speakers.
I need a wireless router that I can attach to my DSL Cable-Modem so I can get internet on my PC computer as well as 2 laptops. What is the best way I go about doing this cause I’m completely lost. If I get a wireless router and connect my cable modem to it, will i still get internet on my PC computer?
This usb powered cooling pad was under 8 bucks on amazon, tech-pc-laptops-cameras-cellphones.blogspot.com but its really cool looking with 6 blue led lights, and practical too. Its angled so your keyboard is lower for easy typing, and with 3 fans,it keeps your laptop much cooler, which will extend its life.oh,and its whisper quiet too!
I have a laptop with a verizon wireless card, a D-link wireless router, and multiple wireless laptops. What I would like to do is use my verizon card and laptop as the gateway to the internet and have other laptops or Sony PSP connect to the internet through that shared connection. I can either cable directly to the Dlink router or run it wirelessly. I believe its possible but I’m unsure how to do it.
