Cheap Laptops?

Any good websites or stores that sell computer laptops for cheap? I’m looking for one that’s NOT all that powerful, just one I can use at work when I’m bored. Or rather, if my laptop were to get stolen, it wouldn’t be too big of a deal. Around $600 CDN or cheaper.

Besides checking the local ads that are published in most newspapers (or published on-line) every Sunday for BestBuy, Circuit City, or Office Depot, try http://WWW.TIGERDIRECT.COM. I have had good luck with their refurbished models (they are really new; someone canceled an order, order over runs, or someone didn’t know that they had to type on that little bitty keyboard or they couldn’t figure out how to get the laptop to open, so it was returned and restored to factory new standards, repackaged and offered to you for much less that its non-refurb. brethren). I bought a 15.4 inch screen HP/Compaq with a dual core processor for $399.00 before X-MAS there this year for my daughter and the computer smokes my hopped up desktops! I did upgrade it from 512 MB to 1GB DDR2 Ram for $19.99 from Tiger, also. I sold the old memory on eBay and it almost paid for all the new memory. + No taxes, just shipping.
http://WWW.CheapBastards.COM offers some almost too good to be true (but they are) deals occasionally, but you have to be willing to surf a while and be aggressive when you do land on a special. They usually are sold out in hours to a day or so. They send you to other sites and some “secret back doors,” like to Office Depot or other places and give you the specs to order a custom build computer that will give you an automatic huge discount at checkout. Seems crazy, but it works. Those are rare, so jump if you see one!
BOL on your Laptop hunt. It can be work, but if you really want to go green, or at least save some, you’ve got to put in the shop time.

i got my laptop from bestbuy for about 500.00 $ a few weeks ago. they always have laptops for about 500 lately and they r not that bad
