I want to know how many laptops can be carried in an airplance, what i mean to ask is the number of permissible number of laptops allowed in the airplane
You are normally allowed one carry-on and one personal item. A personal item can be a purse or computer. Logically, you could carry on two laptops in a case each, or however many you can get into a suitcase that meets carry-on requirements (plus one as a personal item). If this is an international flight, they often weigh the carry-on and personal item (British Air is real tough on this) so keep it light because you never know.
Everyone is limited in the amount of carry on luggage and they dont specify what that luggage consists of. For example if the limit is two pieces of carry on, you can carry two laptops or one laptop and a brief case. If every passenger carried two lap tops you would multiply the number of passengers by two to get the answer.
While there is no specific limit per se, there is a practical limit. If flying in the US you will have to go through TSA screening and that may take quite a while to unpack and x-ray each individual laptop which will be required to be removed from their case. If you are an unlucky soul then you may get turned away or asked to check some of them, depending on the numbers of course. I have traveled repeatedly with 3 laptops and an LCD projector with no problems. Your mileage may vary.
