What do you call the hardware(?) installed in laptops that allows the user to have free internet access anytime, anywhere? I mean it’s different from wi-fi right? What do you call that? Are most laptops nowadays equipped with such feature?
I have to reformat my computer and one of the laptops does not connect via the wireless network for some reason. One is on vista and one is on XP. I dont have an external hard drive and dont want to buy one. I used my flashdrive before and it took way to long. Any help is great.
I know how to file share, but one computer doesnt do it. I have tried multiple times.
Does anyone know of any laptops that are similar to MacBooks? The feature that I really need more than anything else is the camera (Photobooth, etc.), and GarageBand. Do any other less expensive laptops have similar features? Or will I have to save up for a Mac?
Just so you know, I need these features because I’m learning to play the guitar, and I’m getting a new one in a few days. (For my birthday on Tuesday!) And soon I’d like to record my own music.
I’m getting ready to graduate high school in like a month, and I’ve been looking at laptops for my parents to get. I’ve been looking into the Dell Inspiron 1420, but now I’m looking at HP, and I’m wondering which one’s better, or if there is a better brand?
I have two laptop computers and one desktop. My plan is to get rid of the desktop because it is old and slow. I was wondering if I had to have a "host" computer hooked up to a wireless router in order for it to work with my laptops or can I just hook the router up to my dsl modem?
I was going to go to indianapolis university or purdue and they have discount on laptops and computers that are normally retailed at 1300+ on the dell website but i wanna know what the student discount would be.
I have 2 laptops at home w/ Win XP on both and a Canon MP600 all-in-one printer.
I’m trying to have the printer connected to one laptop and through the network with the other laptop.
I’ve tried to setup a wireless network and then adding the printer but that didn’t work…
The information on the laptop that’s connected to the printer isn’t pulling up the printer but the laptop that’s all wireless shows its printers.
How can I create this home network in order to connect 1 printer to both laptops?
I have a sprint mobile usb modem and was wondering if i could connect it to two different laptops. One is a Dell laptop and one is a Sony laptop but would it really matter? Or does it only work with one kind laptop?
Ok, i me and my friend got laptops and both of em have wifi in it. My question is can i files to my friend’s pc using wifi? Like sending files between mobile phones using bluetooth? And we both not connected to internet and no routers too.
Thanks
Sorry for the bad spelling
